From my super fabulous mom...
I am overcome with a flood of emotions....just yesterday Kayla didn't have the same right as her 2 year old brother to save for the future. Just yesterday she was not provided the same opportunities to have money in an account as her brother. Just yesterday Kayla could not receive monetary gifts. Just yesterday Kayla would have been penalized for trying to work to provide for herself. But today? Today is bright and amazing and changed. Today we celebrate this victory! Today we look forward to Kayla's future and know it is so much brighter! Today would not have been possible without numerous parents, politicians, advocates and organizations fighting for basic simple rights for individuals with disabilities. Today I am so thankful for this girl and everything amazing she has brought into our lives. Today is the day we have waited for, worked towards and dreamed of for a very long time....

Santa Selfie!
Because when you are 8....you selfie with Santa.
This happened between 2 of my mom's photo sessions. I walked up to Santa with my iPod and said "let's take a selfie". My mom got these great pics of Santa and me. Another best day ever!!!

My photos from the ABLE act vote
I loved being in DC with lots of friends for the ABLE Act vote in the House! We couldn't bring anything in the chamber but I took lots of pictures during our celebration afterward! #passtheABLEact
