Boardwalk Buddy Walk

I have a new member on my team. Welcome to Princess Kayla's Court Logan! He loved the Buddy Walk & he even had little brother sign that said my big sister is Princess Kayla! This is my 7th Boardwalk Buddy Walk! I love the beach!

Guess what? I am a big sister now! Let me introduce you to my new baby brother, Logan!

Reading a book

First grade is appropriately named. We are seeing a lot of "firsts" from Kayla in just the few weeks school has been in session. Here's a first we saw earlier this week where Kayla read a book to us all by herself! We are so proud of her and the progress she's made. Oh, and she's also tellling us she has her first loose tooth... the Tooth Fairy must definitely be a topice in the first grade friend circles.

Time for dance!

Getting back into dancing with tap, ballet, & my new for this year hip-hop class! Kayla loves everything about dancing: tights, shoes, music, friends, teachers, & her dance tote bag!

Brandywine Festival of the Arts

Spent the weekend at the BFA helping mommy at her tent! Met a lot of new friends & had surprise visits from some of my favorite people!

Walking into school

Walked into school with one of my new first grade friends! I love going to my new school!

First Day of School



My first day of 1st grade has come and gone and I am so happy to be back in school again meeting a ton of new friends and reuniting with my BFF from kindergarten! Don't worry Mommy & Daddy... I got this... :-)

When asked what I wanted for dinner I said "how about we have a picnic at the play ground?" So we did and I spent a lot of time on the swings :-)

A day of lobbying and fashion

Spent the day meeting with Delaware's Congress members and ended with a fashion show! It was a great day and I met many new friends!

We met with Senator Carper, Senator Coons, & Congressman Carney's staff to talk about the ABLE Act, the NIH funding & research, and keeping kids safe from restraint & seclusion in schools.

After meeting our peeps in Congress I happened to end up on an empty corner with Piers Morgan... he was a lot nicer than what you see on tv!

We finished the day at the GDSF Be Beautiful Be Yourself Gala Fashion Show. I rocked a ballet outfit down the runway! I met some of my favorite people from the GDSF and met some new friends too! Scott Grimes & Bob Guiney were so nice! I can't wait for the next fashion show!

All this and the NDSC Conference hasn't even started yet!

4th of July at the Beach

I spent the 4th of July at the beach! I swam and played with my fabulous cousin Hailey & uncle Rodney. I watched fireworks with Kennedy, baby Ian, Sarah, & Johnny Walker. I had a special visit from all 5 of my blue gold buddies! I spent the end of the week with Mom Mom & Pop Pop. And on the last day I went to the boardwalk with Mommy & Daddy, & I went on a big ride 3 times and loved it! Oh and mix in french fries, ice cream and juice boxes throughout the week!

Blue Gold All Star Game

Kayla had an amazing, priceless day with her Blue Gold Hand in Hand Buddies, family & friends. It's something we will be talking about for years to come, and we are so appreciative for all of the love and support Kayla received. Thank you DFRC!

Advocating at the Blue Gold Game

One highlight of the Delaware DFRC Blue Gold All Star High School Football Game was meeting and marching with Congressman John Carney (who cosponsored the ABLE Act), Governor Jack Markell, & Secretary Rita Landgraf! They were so nice and we had a great time in the pregame parade!

Blue Gold Media Day

Spent Saturday at the Delaware Blue Gold All Star Football Game Media Day! It was great hanging out with my buddies and friends! The game is next Saturday and it's going to be awesome !
