Buddy Walk 2011

We know our calendars fill up fast so wanted to make sure you have the Buddy Walk date. This year we will be walking on SUNDAY, MAY 15...11am-3pm (1 hour earlier this year).

We look forward to that day more than any throughout the year. It means so much to us knowing that we are surrounded by friends and family that care about and support us so much! Kayla is a lucky little girl to have each of you in her life (and so are we)!!!!

This year we are going BIG!!!!!!!! We have set a fundraising goal of $21,000!!!!!!! Why $21,000? Well...the extra 21st chromosome is what makes Kayla so special! We have a friend that just raised over $100,000 in less than 2 weeks for the National Down Syndrome Society. How? Just dollar by dollar. She got friends to donate $5...they got their friends to donate $5....they got their friends to donate $5...and so on. The average donation??? Just $13 little dollars. It's amazing how fast money adds up. So...while we are excited just to have you join us on May 15, we are asking you to consider getting friends and family members to donate, too! You can make a huge difference in the lives of people with Down syndrome. Money from the 2010 Buddy Walk was used to educate parents; bringing in experts on DS from across the country.

Let's go big family...this is our 5th Buddy Walk!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And we'll be celebrating Kayla's 5th birthday....we know we can do this....we know we can raise $21,000...but we know we can't do it without your help!

Can't wait to walk with you May 15!

xoxo
